Honestly, I thrift 90% of my clothes. Older jeans and whatnot were made with better materials and construction, now you have to go to higher end brands that are extremely cost-prohibitive compared to thrifting. Plus, being more expensive doesn't correlate to higher quality inherently, you have to legitimately compare brands and even visually examine pieces, like are the seams messed up or uneven, are the rivets rusted, etc etc
