Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

Well one suggestion would be to have some compassion for people living paycheck-to-paycheck and not expect such people to ruin their lives and, worse, their kids lives by doing things that are, at best, highly impractical and, at worse, could leave them destitute. And it's not just you, you're just part of a wider group saying things like people should be feeding their kids out of dumpsters if they really wanted to do something about Trump.
Another would be to suggest that rather than such people growing their own food and saving money they do not have to save, that they take part in collective action and protesting when they are able to do so, rather than on a specific, limited schedule that others who have far more freedom in their lives expect them to follow.
A third would be to not tell people like the residents of the 13.5% of American households that were food insecure a couple of years ago that they just need to make do with less when there is no less.
So you just glossed over everything in my original comment except the part about saving (food, money, medicine, anything) and owning a gun? I specifically said network with like-minded people. Community is the only way we'll get through the next decade. If buying a gun is a financial hardship that's fine, look for other steps you can take. Don't just throw your hands up and say "no!"
People are going to have to learn to rely on themselves (and their neighbors) because infrastructure and public services days are basically numbered. Soon prices will start to rise for the most basic goods, people will reduce their consumption. They will "make do" or they'll do without. Talk to your grandparents who survived the depression. Remember the covid toilet paper panic? That'll be a fond memory.
You can dislike my message, I don't care that much. I'll even agree that everything you said should be done. However, my messages is meant for marginalized, radicalized individuals who are at very real risk of being exterminated. People who have the means and the mind to organize and resist.
My "queer hiking" club has already established second lines of communication and started spitballing what to do as things become progressively worse. This is real and I do not plan to get on the train willingly. Moving abroad isn't an option, so this is what I'll do.
You asked me for suggestions and then ignored them.
"First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season."
Cool. I've read what Dr. King has written. You still asked me for suggestions and ignored them. And the fact that you think Dr. King applies here when we are talking about mostly people of color suffering is ironic as fuck.
A .world mod who was so stressed about helping his queer daughter escape rising fascism he was suicidal now thinks he can dictate to people who weren't able to escape and is unable to see how a relevant quote applies to him.
Please quote what I am dictating. I would like to see what I am dictating. Unless you're lying, of course. I'm betting on the latter, but feel free to prove me wrong.
I'd also love to know what you think regularly trying to accuse me of being a coward achieves.
You are an absolute BADASS for not letting this clown get to you.
🙏
Thank you.
dictate: Lay down authoritatively; prescribe
Like what you did trying to tell people, idk what you're even trying to tell them, to not arm themselves and get on the train when it's time? That armed resistant to Nazis is dumb?
It's not an accusation if it's apparent to everyone. I'm glad you could flee but frankly your risk is now minimized and your opinions on what people still here should do isn't worth much.
Not one quote.
So you lied. Got it.
And if it is "apparent to everyone" that I am a coward, why keep pointing it out? Also, if that makes me a coward, why are you glad about it?
Jesus christ you're simple. Go pick another argument with another user champ, that seems to be your hobby.
I may be simple, but you still lied. Although this sure looks like dictating to me, so I'm not sure why you have a problem with such behavior:
You've contributed nothing and only put marginalized people further at risk by your inaction and pedantry. Find some way to help and do that (or just keep arguing on the internet, that's totally helpful).
Have a nice day.
Insulting me will not change the fact that you lied and then did the very thing you lied about me doing.
You lost the plot a long long time ago champ, please stop responding to me now. Go be pedantic and argue useless bullshit with someone else ya fuckin' clown.
Once again, it seems like you're the one who wishes to dictate things to people, so it's odd that you falsely accused me of doing it.
This is why nobody likes you. You're arguing about a single word used in a 20 comment chain, it's pathetic.
Nobody? Can I see your data or is this another lie?
The dictate usage? It's not a lie just because you didn't know that usage, chalk it up to a learning moment.
So no data about this claim that nobody likes me? Guess it was also a lie.
Your fragility is hilarious.
Interesting that you've been hurling all of these insults and commanding me to do things and yet I'm the fragile one. Very interesting.
Sure thing champ, "I know you are but what am I" stopped working in 3rd grade.
Very well, please quote me showing my fragility. I won't be holding my breath.
"Please quote me showing my fragility."
Bro I pushed your button this morning when I got to work by copypasting a well-known quote. You've been arguing over more and more tangential shit since then just like I knew you would. We can argue for a week because you can't ever let something go.
Seriously though "please quote me showing my fragility" is the funniest thing I've read in awhile. Thanks for being my entertainment today.
Are you seriously calling out someone for having a moment of weakness because he was afraid for the safety of his family?
What the fuck is wrong with you?
