Oh no, it did. It filters idiots very well when left alone. We've artificially kept these people alive and procreating via our medical innovations.

How long do you think a group of sovcits would survive on their own in a little community in the woods, without the rest of society propping them up?

The Amish work hard and grow their own crops. Sovcits don't actually produce any value, they just spend their time dreaming up ways to access all that secret money they were somehow born with.
