Hello everyone, why the mods are removing genuine posts? I know they break some rules you have. TBH there are too many rules, and this is very early stages of lemmy so don't be so strict. You guys are doing a too good job in my opinion.
These are the same mods from the Android subreddit. That should answer everything you need to know.
I understand why they are strict on Reddit. The sub is huge, but here, they are imo too strict considering how small the platform is.
I'd give you a genuine answer, but I'm afraid these mods will ban me like they banned me from Reddit for having a negative opinion about Samsung.
I'm so glad we gave these mods power of the Android community on Lemmy. Way to go, us!
Honestly, I’m okay with them banning people for being negative, there are SO many places you can go to do that if you want to, especially with all the servers here on Lemmy.
You think it's okay to ban someone for being critical about a specific Samsung device because a mod is a fanboy of it?
You can be critical without being negative.
I've looked into it and can confirm /u/JshKlsn was temporarily banned for rude comments directed at others on /r/android. For the record, the mod who actioned it does not use Samsung devices.
It would be great if you could not talk behind my back with other users, but also your investigation means nothing, because who said that username was mine on Reddit, or that I am talking about that account?
I'm not, for the record.
Nothing private intended in this public thread. I did reply to you directly above but hadn't heard back.
Happy to look into the account you're referring to, but I don't think JshKlsn is too common of a handle?
Oh I'd love to see exactly how you got banned. Chances are it was for a tad more than just "having a negative opinion about Samsung".
Hey there, if you would like to pass me your username on Reddit I'd be happy to take a look for you. We have folks who very much dislike Samsung so that shouldn't have been an issue - and if it was, it was an oversight.
My user name on reddit is ST3RB3N666, can you tell me why you permently banned me? I tried to reach you, but you completely ignore me.
I don't care about your ban, but at least tell me why did you ban me?
EDIT: as expected, no response.
Strange. I only received a notification for this reply when you edited it just now. Not sure if it's due to the recent lemmy.world outage. I'm on my way to the office at the moment but will definitely take a look this afternoon.
Edit: I've taken a look. It appears you were banned for spam.
Of course, after 3 months of no response you deserve "fu#k you".
So you banned me, because I was honestly interested in an accessory, gotcha.
This was my PM to you after you banned me. Does it look like a bot? It was just a formal way to communicate, since you are a moderator.
Those are my follow up messages, where you muted me for 28 days right after.
I m sorry for the "fu#k you", but you honestly deserved it, since you could take 5 minutes to explain yourself, but you decided to ignore me instead.
I was gonna leave the platform anyway, so I decided to flip you off as last act as rebellion 🤣
Have a great day and good luck with the instance. 🤙
So nothing to do with you "having an opinion about Samsung", that was clear bullshit. How about you edit that comment and stop spreading bullshit?
Same, got banned for "spam", even though I am pretty sure I never broke any rules.
I asked for more reasons then, but they straight up ignore and mute me for 28 days.
I will never subscribe to anything related to the old reddit mods.
I am glad I am not the only one thinking this way.
