Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

This isn't particularly helpful, but getting off of
is gonna end up being a good thing, long term. There's been a hundred incidents these past few years that have frustrated me on traditional social media. I was very annoyed at the time, but the end result was to get me off their terrible platform, and my mental health has been way better.
If you want to read reddit without posting, just access via old dot reddit dot com. There are browser extensions that do this automatically, which are amazing. You can even access NSFW stuff if need be.

again, you almost certainly need a new device. ~~Reddit probably blocked your MAC address as well as your IP. But you'd probably need a new router cuz that has a MAC address as well. There's weird ways to change or spoof MAC addresses, but AFAIK they're not simple.~~
Maybe someone can correct me on the last paragraph, as I'm only 90% sure.
