Why did it have to be Chris Pratt, ugh
Because he's the "handsome funny guy"
Jake was a mute in Jak and Daxter, then a pissed off asshole in Jak 2, then a more wholesome but pragmatic asshole on Jak 3. Chris Prat just doesn’t fit the bill for any of his characters, so I think they’re just going for a “pretty boy” with funny words.
Quite the opposite of Jak.
He's not a voice actor. So, he just needs to sound like Chris Pratt.
