Authorities have identified the man suspected of killing UnitedHealth executive Brian Thompson and are closing in on him, New York City Mayor Eric Adams was quoted as saying on Saturday by the New York Post.

Adams was quoted by the Post as saying the police were withholding the suspect's name for now to deny him any advantage. “We don’t want to release that now,” the mayor said. “If you do, you are basically giving a tip to the person we are seeking and we do not want to give him an upper hand at all. Let him continue to believe he can hide behind the mask."

Their claims don’t add up. They supposedly know he went to a bus terminal, but they can only assume that he took an interstate bus because they didn’t see him exit the terminal. So they don’t know which bus and they can’t even be completely sure that he did go on one at all.

This info is cool but they can’t tell you his name. That would tip him off too much.

enters bus terminal wearing clothing meant to disguise identity

Removes or changes configuration of clothing to further obscure identity and features

Like how does anyone know he didn't have a Hollywood level body suit and mask hidden in the bathroom ceiling tile? So fun to just assume so much stuff so i might as well, too. The guy actually just crawled into a hole and is waiting a week like the guy from that one bank robbery movie
