The rain has arrived
It's just started spitting a bit here. I managed to fill the wheelie bin with weeds before it arrived (and unearthed lots of potatoes in amoungst it all) but I've now retreated inside.
Must be wheelie bin day! Today was bin day here, and the bins were getting a bit stinky so I gave them all a basic rinse out with a bit of dishwashing liquid
I saw my neighbour doing that. Now that they are collecting food scraps in the green bin smells can be a problem, especially as we only have fortnightly collection. I've been filling mine mostly with fennel though, so it just smells of aniseed!

Nobody's given us a green bin yet. But unfortunately I forgot to take the bins out before I left, so there's been some chicken baking in the sun for about a fortnight. Definitely needed a rinse and air out
