She could pull the exact same strat as Nixon and run for governor of California after a failed presidential run. Then get back in it. Politicians usually don't go for "lower" office anymore but if she was smart she'd use this weight to get some political position again.

But I believe California always comes down to 2 Dems running against each other... So she might actually have to run on some policies, not just "at least I'm not the other guy"... Although they've never had a woman governor, so maybe she could just run on being a woman.
