Slavery is winning 57-43 in California so far...
(Proposition 6: End Involuntary Labor by the Incarcerated › This proposition would amend the state Constitution to remove a provision that lets prisons and jails force inmates to work.)
Minimum wage and rent control are also losing. Increasing prison sentences is winning big.
It's early yet but if that's what it's like when Harris has 60% we're in trouble.
Edit: At 35% reporting, slavery's lead is down to 53-47.
Telling Americans they wouldn’t be able to punish the uppity undesirables? A sure loser
I liked the one in Florida where the majority of people voted to allow abortion, yet “no” won because that’s how democracy works
This doesn't have anything to do with Harris, Americans just can't help maximizing harsh punishments for crime. The one that increases penalties for people with drug offenses will probably pass with similar numbers.
That one's winning 70-30.
I mentioned the Harris numbers because it seemed like the 14% sample might not be far off from what the final percentages would look like.
CALIFONIA UBER ALLES intensifies
That fucking sucks this place fucking sucks I hate it here.
And fucking rent control is still off the table. Prop 33 has already been called, at like 62% against.
I knew the propositions would wind up having just about the worst possible outcome. I fucking knew it.
