put all of your election posting here so it doesn't bother anyone else!

from @CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net:

For Agitprop purposes, I’m asking comrades to help aggregate any and all effortpost responses, critiques, or general thoughts that you have seen or written pertaining to yesterday’s U.S. election that you think have standalone value for discussion either online or IRL.

I made a post for that purpose here, and ideally it can be used not only for general discussion, but as a reference for well thought out responses in discussions about the election to save all of us some brainpower.

No shitposts please, as we’d like to highlight some comrades’ actual effort in constructing responses or analysis, but humor is 100% welcome to help make your point!

President Maduro: I've been asked a lot, 'What’s better for Venezuela? A Trump win or a Harris win? I say whoever wins, what's better for Venezuela and Latin America is to have our own path, not depend on anyone, is to guarantee our countries."

Comrades in the global south are unanimous: the results of the US election do not matter, the empire will grind on regardless.

The only thing I think it will happen, like major thing, is that Brazil, Bolivia and Colombia will push for even closer relations with China. Lula, Petro and Arce really dislike Trump because of Trump personally supporting people like Bolsonaro, Camacho and Ivan Duque.

And Milei will probably be very happy which will also be annoying, but I dont expect anything to change for LatAm with Trump, he will still be agressive towards Cuba, Venezuela and continue Biden's agressions against Nicaragua. Trump won't give a shit about LatAm, he will probably be too busy with Israel, Ukraine and internal politics. I guess he could cut aid and removes US troops from Ecuador and Peru, which would collapse the Right-Wing goverments. But I doubt he will do that.

Huge Text WallI think Lula talked about this to a French Newspaper, like how he didn't care but Kamala would be better for the econony because Democrats usually have have a less protectionist policy when it comes to economy.

And I think he also called Trump a neonazi or something, which made liberals mad because "You can't insult the president of the USA!". Biden/USA missed a huge opportunity in having closer relations with Brazil, Venezuela, Bolivia and Colombia in 2023, the US had promised money and aid to these countries and some agreements for different things but Biden simply ignored their own agreements or didn't give said money.

China saw that and offered the double the money and got some exclusive mining and trading rights (which is why theres no Tesla in South America, but a lot of Chinese eletric cars). I guess only Milei will be genuine happy with Trump, but I doubt Milei will last more than next year. I just hope something funny happens, like, he gives asylum to Elon Musk (after Trump gets bored of him and seizes SpaceX to produce weapons), and Elon gets killed by an angry Peronist Mob in 2025.
