put all of your election posting here so it doesn't bother anyone else!

from @CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net:

For Agitprop purposes, I’m asking comrades to help aggregate any and all effortpost responses, critiques, or general thoughts that you have seen or written pertaining to yesterday’s U.S. election that you think have standalone value for discussion either online or IRL.

I made a post for that purpose here, and ideally it can be used not only for general discussion, but as a reference for well thought out responses in discussions about the election to save all of us some brainpower.

No shitposts please, as we’d like to highlight some comrades’ actual effort in constructing responses or analysis, but humor is 100% welcome to help make your point!

I'm expecting a Harris win tbh

That Selzer lady does have a good track record and it seems like a convincing narrative that pollsters mega overcorrected towards Donnie for fear of underestimating his performance a third time.

Plus I think it fits with the American political tradition of "unprecedented yet boring". Dems pulling off an unheard of mid-race switch, winning, and then governing in a dreadfully milquetoast fashion just to lose to the 2028 competent fascist MAGA inheritor feels apropos.

Anecdotal reports of exceptionally high turnout lead me towards the same prediction. The strength of bourgeois propaganda has never been higher. After deliberately sidestepping a primary and coronating Harris, she is going to be propelled to the White House to continue the genocide with the strongest mandate since Obama.

Either that, or Jill Stein is putting up Ross Perot numbers.

I've started wondering how much of the Dems "trying to lose" might be the DNC disciplining voters to accept any action from the regime no matter how horrific and repulsive. Like they fuck up and make strategic blunders on purpose to train the voters to follow them no matter what.
