Nobody know. She just appear one month and disappear for the rest of the year. Though someone suggest she's actually Christmas Spirit, and Santa Claus is the one seal her in ice every year.

She must make a killing on the residuals from that one song
It's a good song but it's so overplayed that I don't enjoy it anymore.
According to a quick search, she makes $2.5 million to $3 million per year in residuals off of that one song.
Good for her, and also damn I’m jealous.
