Translucent Companion Egg no creature (lemm.ee)

Like the title said, went to hatch the companion on my main save and nothing happened, I didn’t get the pet and it consumed the egg, I have the slots needed for a new pet but I just didn’t get it

When I tried a few days ago it happened to me too. That egg doesn't work.

I reverted to last save before I hatched the egg just in case (even though I'll probably not continue my expedition save and start a new one anyway).
