Floss is kinda expensive where I live, so I just brush twice in a day, and gargle really hard after every meal.
Oh, interesting. You mod an India community, so somewhere in India I presume?
I'm not sure I've ever paid for floss, it's something I see handed out a lot for free. Syringe Service Providers often have it, along with other basic services, and will often just include it with other stuff if they think you're using meth (meth mouth is a pretty bad image). I've also seen dentists handing it out, as a cheap advertising tool to get more customers. In addition, I've seen people at parades throwing them to people, instead of candy. But that's all American, and probably even true in a lot of places here.
What I meant was, it costs around ₹80 per unit, and could probably last for 1.5 month per person, but for a family of four, the cost would be somewhere around ^12^/~1.5~ x 4 x 80 = ₹2560 for a year, if flossing is done once in a day. And since I am not employed (more like there's no job), and there's also debt to pay for EMI, education and other bank loans, we don't spend a lot. Although I did get a small cavity on my incisors which was due to my carelessness while living in the college hostel, it wasn't deep enough and I got it bonded for cheap at around ₹1000. I have also sharply reduced consuming or drinking sugary stuff.
