What could someone do to add their DRM free games and music to their steam deck and to steam so they could be enjoy there? Could they play their drm free games on the stream deck from humble bundle? Especially humble bundle and itch.io.

I’m looking at getting a 1TB SD but I’m trying to figure out if the Limited Edition SD is worth beyond the look of it. If it’s just looks then I probably will get the regular 1TB Steam Deck.

With the use of Heroic game launcher, I’m wondering if you all preferred to play your GOG version of games over the Steam version. I can go either way but sometimes I pause and think, having two copies of the same game, one on steam and one on GOG, which one would give me a better gaming experience. For example, I may choose the GOG version because I don’t have to deal with pre-shader work being downloaded every so often. I can just into my games. Yet, Steam achievements and seeing the game’s metadata is always life: seeing the game info, store page, community stuff about the game, and more all there. So what do you chose? GOG game or the Steam game.

First time playing this game and I’m wondering if the shadows format is worth it over the regular color version of the game. Also, I think some scenes don’t show up well in the shadows version: Bruce Wayne looking at some stuff on the bat cave monitor. Anyone can give some feedback here?

I’m curious how people play multiplayer games on the steam deck: online and offline. I want to get into them but I am not sure how sound this goal is right now. The only multiplayer games that I have played were dead by daylight. But I know that cannot be the only game that offers multiplayer. Share with me your recommendations and ideas, please. Also, maybe I could join y’all in a steam deck session.

TL;DR for LCD: Preview “OLED” firmware appears to improve the input lag with LCD models, too

[…] I consulted Valve about this who recommended updating the LCD firmware to the preview firmware, which should bring parity in software between the two units. This changed the results to what you saw above, but either something was wrong with my Deck, or else all LCD owners are also going to get a noticeable improvement with the new firmware, as you can see from the tables below.

Valve did share with me that they're looking to improve input lag, and assuming these older firmware results aren't a problem of my LCD Steam Deck, it seems that owners of the existing machines should be seeing a nice improvement to response, particularly when those all-important frame-rate caps are used.

A refreshed version of the Deck has just been announced. What are your thoughts? I guess I'm quite disappointed they didn't really upgrade the performance

With the release of bazzite 2.0 and the existence of other steamOS-like distros like chimera OS, I'm just wondering if anyone is running their steam deck with a different distro than what was shipped. How does the experience stack up, do you prefer something like chimera or bazzite? Just wondering if I'm missing out by keeping the stock OS.

I just plugged the steam deck in to a monitor and while I was transferring some roms and started to wonder if it would be feasible to use as a day to day computer while docked.

I fought with prime hack for a while trying to get it to work. I was using the GameCube Metroid prime 2 iso.

It loaded fine, but I could not get the controller mapped correctly.

I discovered that there is a Wii Metroid prime trilogy iso.

I tried this one and then suddenly everything worked perfectly.

The on screen button icons even matched the steam deck instead of showing the GameCube button.

I hope this helps as it’s a great series and it deserves to be played through primehack.
