I've realized that we keep hearing a never ending stream of diatribes from people like Biden, Kamala and Trump about foreign leaders and countries and I've been wondering why non-Western countries don't do the same.

There's certainly a never ending list of reasons to do so; I can't help but wonder if perhaps had African countries been lambasting America about their violent policies and actions that Libya wouldn't have happened in a 'silence'. Israel, for example, striking Iran's consulate in Syria wasn't something they could do and then people let them forget that they started it; this is why you have people asking (American and British) government spokespeople about Iran's right to self defense and retaliation.

American journalists travel around the world to go and harass foreign leaders about every little choice they make; are journalists from Africa, the Middle East, Asia and South America trying to get interviews with Western leaders to ask them the same ridiculous questions our journalists ask but getting no response or refused?

I really feel like with a constant microscopic lens on every single awful choice we make, it just gets harder and harder to get away with it. If I HAD to compare it to something, I'd say it feels similar to when an abusive person tries manipulating or threatening an ex or a partner of his in public; it benefits the abuser that his victim is silent and doesn't make a scene. I do also understand that our government intentionally creates rifts between nations so that they're less likely to stand united and to have one anothers' backs. Certainly I'm nearly vocally cheering every time I see African leaders respond to the idiot journalists or politicians we keep sending their way; I'm following an African twitter account and get posts from time to time of the idiot journalists asking either stupid questions or hypocritical ones; for example now with that knowledge of those interviews that occurred, I can wonder (rhetorically) why don't journalists go over and ask African leaders now about their decision not to arrest Putin as per the ICC ruling (the idea being that Western leaders don't want to arrest Netanyahu).

But as I said, I can also understand how countries just want to exist in peace and don't want the headache; it's probably just me being youtube 'debate me brah' brained and wanting to see the global South own the idiot news channels.

Not a lib

I need to be really careful here not to tread into any anti-vaxx territory here but this is just sus af. Why would they take a break from the mass-murder of children to ensure those same children are vaccinated against polio?

Not to mention that the vaccine is going to be administered by the UN - an organisation who have lost nearly 400 employees during this holocaust. Why would the Zionist entity suddenly change their tune and say "Oh, right this way, come on in!"

Is it a photo op? Are they legit worried that polio will spread to their soldiers?

There must be some ulterior motive, right? This just doesn't make sense. WTF is going on here?

(btw be warned there's lot of brainworms antivaxxers in the Twitter comments there, god damnit they make me so mad)

R as ret ar ded.

I'm from Balkans and I think there's no swearing anywhere in the world like in Balkans. We use slurs A LOT and pretty casually, so I am always surprised when I am censored on some word online.

It happened just now. The R word was removed from my comment, so I wanted to find out what's going on with it.

Since I talk to people from all around the world, I don't want to be an ignorant fool and I want to learn why it isn't ok to say something, so I can implement it without the feeling I'm being deprived of free speech.

Again, take in consideration the Balkan thing if you think I'm trolling with this post. I'm not. I swear to you, the shit we're able to say are insane and we really think it's no big deal.

So, when did R word became a slur and why it's not ok to call someone R word as an insult?

Thank you for the education. A human learns while grows and until dies.

EDIT: You're really nice community and I am really thankful you've explained this to me. As I said, I can be a Slow Poke sometimes and growing where I grew, some shit has just stuck as normal and I am glad to unlearn it. My heart is leftist, but I grew up as a Catholic in the midst of the war where we learned a lot of hateful stuff as a normal part of identity. I want to fuck it off from me, so thanks, really.

I'm going to be taking the east coast greenway in a couple of days. It stretches from the Canadian border to the dick tip of Florida. Plan on stopping here and there, NY City, DC, Philadelphia... the spot I really want to visit is Savannah, GA. Anything along the way you suggest I might check out? I love museums and libraries, I like to drink, and I like to watch sportsball live.

Had someone mention this to me in conversation this weekend. Not something I knew, but honestly, not something I really cared about either. I just said a lot of Chinese nationals attend American university. A large part of the student population in the university/town I live in is Chinese. They followed up with "Sure, a specific class of Chinese though right?". My response being ,"Yeah wealthy business owners send their kids here." They said "I was just surprised, wouldn't he worry about her getting indoctrinated?" I said they get taught Marxism from like kindergarten, so no, probably not.

It really felt like a strange thing to bring up. I forget the context it came up in. This wasn't presented as some counter argument to anything, bit I do wonder where this little factoid comes from.

I see that RFA reported on her being outed as going to Harvard and the person getting jail time for it (for what its worth). Other then that, nothing substantial really.

So what's up with this? Is this some kind of lingering gotcha fed to libs to regurgitate when the topic is right?

Checked a notification I got in the trans mega and the comment chain doesn't appear, and the original post for the mega about Leslie Feinberg displays but none of the comments appear for me. When I go to the c/traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns page, no threads appear. Did the com get scrubbed or is this some bug on my end?

So I'm cleaning out my girlfriend's mom's old room, and it's... a horrible mess, to put it gently.

Anyway I saw this tiny little, cylindrical thing... it looked like a clothing fiber or something. It was like a centimeter long, and less than a millimeter wide. I never would have though it was alive, until I saw a tiny, white colored head poke out and move it very very slightly. It was like... bright cyan colored, with a deeper purple, really colorful little guy. I didn't see any legs.

We put it outside, without getting a picture, and now I'm wondering what it was.

Any idea what it could've been? We're in the northern Midwest of the US if that helps.

I am using the thingie in Firefox that let's you install a web page as an app on your mobile device. It used to work flawlessly, but now I am forced to login when ever I reopen the app. Devs, any ideas on why this could be? I have some Dev experience, I'd love to debug and fix as needed.

I want to learn how to cook. Now that I'm not a lone NEET anymore but in a relationship, I want to reach a level where I can cook a succulent meal for my partner. I want to start simple, with a focus on noodle dishes. Later, I want to move on to rice dishes, but that's for the future.

Hit me with your tips and tricks for someone who has cooked maybe 4-5 times in his life and hasn't cooked in like 10 years. I'm a complete noob.

Also, YouTube channels would be greatly appreciated, especially those focused on simple dishes and easy stuff. I don't need anything complex for at least the next year.

Simple. Quick. Tasty. Thats what im looking for.

Thanks, Hexbears!

"How would you feel if my ass scent suddenly formed into an ethereal hand as it wafted into your nose from like 20 ft away and you became entranced as it beckoned you with one finger and you floated, following its gesture blissfully like it was some apple pie on a window sill????"

Redditism 1: "It's the internet. You are allowed to swear." young-sheldon

I hate when some very grown-ass adult says that because someone didn't cuss enough for their taste. I swear all the time in my posts here but I still find that shit really, really tryhard and it seems more immature than not saying the naughty word to me.

Redditism 2: Ending a rebuke with a question mark when it's not a question to make it sound extra snippy.

I've heard this being compared to a "vocal fry" and maybe it is, and coming from CA, vocal fries were often said out loud as a form of subtle hostility toward people perceived as lessers, such as retail and restaurant workers. If you need an example of what I'm talking about, it usually goes something like this:

Poster: "I think (opinion)." i-think-that

Redditism enjoyer: "You're wrong?" smuglord

Redditism 3: "Do you need help? Who hurt you? Help is available if you need it, buddy!" heated-gamer-moment

This one is the worst one I can think of right now because it contaminates even the very possibility of showing sincere care and concern for someone else. It comes loaded with the implication that the person that was "hurt" or "needs help" is fundamentally wrong and should shut up. Fuck that ableist shit, forever. guts-rage

I ask this in particular after this particular cognitohazard dropped:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWuNv6cv27o

smurf-cursed is the most condescendingly toxic kind of Reddit New Atheist and has made that part of his brand for decades, so that already rules out most religious people that don't just see religion as some sort of country club gathering.

He has the same creepy misanthropic view of children, where he holds them in contempt and clearly wants to violate them too, that a lot of kiddie-creeping boomers do, so that probably rules out most people significantly younger than him unless he's directly throwing money at them and they're accepting it.

He believes in (or at least professes belief for profit) a lot of Qanon shit, in particular against trans people, so that even rules out a lot of wine liberals that I assume would otherwise clink wine glasses to his smuglord quips.

He's just about definitive Blue MAGA, which red MAGA despises anyway, so he isn't likely to have much a fandom there outside of fickle "he is one of the good ones" gimmicks where he might show up on a chud podcast or something sometimes.

I truly don't know and I'm sincerely asking: what demographic is left with all of that (and more) carved out that might like that particular piece of shit? What's his revenue source besides being rich already?

I never received formal education in the subject and I want to learn about it so that I may have a better understanding of the philosophy of our political tradition. I'd appreciate any suggestions on materials to get an introduction to the topic.
