GAZA CITY—The Israeli military is waging an all-out, aerial assault concentrated on Gaza City, targeting dozens of high-rise towers in the heart of the city and reducing them to rubble. The destruction of residential buildings and tent encampments nearby is part of its stated operation to ethnically cleanse the entire area of the nearly one million Palestinians sheltering there and force them south.

“I promised you a few days ago that we would destroy Gaza’s terror towers. This is exactly what we are doing,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video statement from the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv on Monday. “In the past two days, 50 of these towers have fallen. The air force brought them down. Now all of this is just an introduction, just a prelude, to the main intense operation—a ground maneuver of our forces, who are now organizing and gathering in Gaza City,” he said, adding, “And so I say to the residents of Gaza, I am taking advantage of this opportunity, and listen to me carefully: You have been warned. Get out of there!”

$8,000 to supply the Israeli military with a thermal drone, $600 for a helmet, $150 for a rifle plate: these are some of the tax-deductible donations that American citizens can make to support the Israeli military.

The campaign is run by a registered U.S. charity that, since the early months of the war, has been fundraising to purchase drones and other military equipment for the Israeli military. The organization, American Friends of Judea and Samaria (AFJS), is a registered nonprofit whose advocacy focuses on strengthening Israeli control over the occupied West Bank and first launched an “Emergency Tactical Gear Campaign” in the weeks after October 7, 2023. AFJS has continued fundraising asking for tax-deductible donations from Americans to help supply Israeli soldiers with a range of equipment including vests, rifle plates, helmets, medical kits, and thermal imaging drones.

A five-point summary outlining U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal for a Gaza ceasefire was delivered to Hamas by mediators over the weekend. Trump has characterized the ultimatum as the final offer to the Palestinian resistance movement before Israel accelerates its campaign to enact the total destruction of the Gaza Strip.

The brief, approximately 100-word document, presented in Arabic and obtained by Drop Site, is titled, “The Main Proposal.” The full text and English translation is at the bottom of this article.

The outline, which contains sparse details, states that, within 48 hours of accepting the ultimatum, Hamas and other resistance groups would release all Israeli captives, living and deceased. In return, Israel would free an unspecified number of “Palestinian prisoners sentenced to life and detainees from Gaza” within 48 hours.
