The reason its expensive is the lawsuits against it, including those funded by oil company. France built massive amounts over 50 years ago, did we lose our ability to build or what?

The changing world of Canada's abysmal per capita economic performance behind only Luxembourg, so we can no longer afford food, given all the money we printed to artificially inflate GDP and bail out home values.

Well the CPI is clearly fake, real inflation is far higher.

A good example is we are printing money to buy mortgage bonds, which means we print money to lower inflation, because it decreases mortgage interest costs.

The CPI does not include housing appreciation in its calculation so this is the parameter that keeps housing prices tethered to reality, and we still lose FX by printing money.

Wow a 2.5% increase, meanwhile rent is up 50% the last few years. So progressive it hurts.

Whose being suppressed, do you have an example?

The UN called it modern slavery, the NDP called it saving "small business". Small business meaning Tim Horton's, and saving meaning increasing profits.

Is there an alternative to Google Play, because I'm assuming it wouldn't matter as much if we had that.

[–] toastmeister@lemmy.ca -3 points 6 months ago

I'll work on that time machine.

Well that was the irony I was attempting to point out. People took it quite literally tho.
