After USSR they realized they have no chance militarily, so all their work is concentrated on disinformation, sabotage and subversion.

Military was only meant to be used specifically to seal the deal once the main work was done.

They used to taste it in the past.

The term sweet originates from the fact that a low level of sulfur provides the oil with a relatively sweet taste and pleasant smell, compared to sulfurous oil. Nineteenth-century prospectors would taste and smell small quantities of oil to determine its quality.[4]

The old twine is still there, the VP was currently on a visit in Russia.

I'm starting wondering what Maduro did that putin wanted him replaced.

Also primary importer of Venezuelan oil was China, this might force them to import oil from Russia, so maybe that's the angle?

Not exactly. Yes, US refineries are set up to handle heavy sour crude and would have to be updated to handle light sweet crude US produces.

But the light sweet crude is easier to process and that's also makes it more expensive. So US was normally exporting it and importing the heavy one from other places like Canada.

It's not even regime change, the old Maduro supporting regime is still running the show. The VP was on a visit in Russia when this happened.

LOL, what a surprise. Whenever he does something that looks like could hurt Russia we later learn it actually benefits them.

I was actually wondering what was the point of removing Maduro while keeping the old government.

Now, zoom out.

Of course they condemn. Anyway he removed Maduro but left the old government that supported him and Russia intact. What's the point then?

I don't think this article is true. I couldn't find any other source of the news. The links inside of it (except the first one) are misleading and point to articles about CECOT segment while saying it is about Epstein.

Both are invasion and currently US is just a satellite office of Russia.
