Can someone Australian explain why there was so much opposition to this?
I just don’t understand who he thinks is going to vote for him. The number of centrist conspiracy theorists who will vote for a former Democrat has got to be vanishingly small.
People are upset because a lot of masc-presenting people crowded the job fair, cut in line, and shoved people out of the way. Others who were attending expected the conference to be a place safe from that sort of aggression & it wasn’t.
Of course neither of the book banners was willing to speak about their efforts on the record. They know how bad it looks, two people churning out paperwork to gum up the public schools.

I grew up in CA but now live in the southern US. I get really tired of hearing this. Yes, the cost of living is ridiculous and the wildfires are terrible. But it’s actually a lovely place, on balance, and I enjoy my visits. The folks here seem to think CA is a crime-ridden urban hell.
I suspect that it’s simpler to make a standalone display as proof of concept. If it’s popular enough, laptops could follow. This monitor will be great for film sets & videos. No flicker!
I suspect it’s less due to the rhetoric of Donald Trump & more due to the influence of Andrew Tate, Jordan Peterson & Joe Rogan.

There are a lot of “that guys.” That guy who quotes Bob Dylan. That guy who wears crazy pants. That guy who’s good at ping-pong. And so forth. Decades ago, Elon Musk apparently decided to be That Guy Who Really Likes the Letter X. You do you.
I agree. This recognition sends a signal to would-be genocidal regimes in Europe that they’re not going to get away with things like they might have in the past.
