American government told the whole world that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. America used this as justification to invade Iraq and murder its people. It turns out there were no weapons of mass destruction after all.

Hello all, I have a question. I use https://overpass-turbo.eu/ for running queries on the OSM database. However, this is useful for running queries over a specific region. I'm interested in running queries over recent OSM changes.

For example, how can I run a query of this sort: "give me all changesets from the last X days that adds the following tag" ?

I experience the opposite. Whenever I criticise US government, I get attacked by hordes of cringy Americans.

There are no arguments for returning to the office that make sense. People who argue against remote work are historical artefacts from a bygone age.

This is how the rest of the industry worked for years. Nvidia was just stuck in the past century.

I feel like attributing this to Valve is really disrespectful to the folks who developed wine for decades (and more recently also Vulkan). The real game changer is Vulkan, which made Linux graphics to be competitive with DirectX. (OpenGL interfaces to DirectX was simply not competitive)

Hello folks, is there a tool in Linux to track how much current the battery is pulling during charging? In Android there is Ampere that does this, and I'm looking for something similar. This nicely shows for example that my Android device is charging the battery with 1.5A right now.

Electric cars are to save automobile industry profits. Not the planet.

If you want to save the planet, then ride a bicycle.

Go back in time (self.openstreetmap)

I have a question about openstreetmap. Is it possible to go back in time and look at the state of the maps in the past?

I have been doing a lot of mapping in my hometown. It looks much better now compared to 2-3 years ago. I want to do a before-vs-after comparison, but I forgot to take a "before" screenshot. Is this something I can do after the fact? Would it be possible to see what OSM looked like in 2020?

Thanks!

It's also changing how normies think of Linux.

Also it basically doubled the % of linux users at Steam.

Also lemmy.world is not the most stable instance and experiences a lot of downtime. My user experience got a lot better after I moved out of lemmy.world.

Nothing is more American than invading other countries and murdering their people.
