If you played p3p I don't think playing p3fes or reload will be a new experience as the story remains mostly the same. Combat is the same with little differences between p3p and p3fes, but reload is closer to p5's gameplay.

I wanted to say persona 3 FES as well, if you can't afford the remake on steam which is excellent btw.

Other similar options include Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne and the Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga duology

Persona 3 and Omori, both about death and depression and grief and they're just so bittersweet

No, I played quite a bit of jrpgs myself, and even my anime loving gf who usualy is okay with the usual cringe amount said that it's just overwhelming in p4.

For context we're trans and lesbians so it might just be that we're more aware and concerned by the horrible moments than you.

In stars and time is a wonderful queer jrpg I love a lot. No cis het character in the main cast.

Persona 3 portable has a lesbian romance scene as female MC, or just if you consider the main character as genderqueer, which they kinda are in my headcannon tbh lol.

There's Super Lesbian Animal RPG which i've heard a lot of good from.

Careful about persona 4, game is super homophobic and overall not nice towards minorities. If that's a dealbreaker to you, Persona 3 or 5 are better experiences. Id argue p5 feels less like a jrpg too

Also there's a remake coming out soon which will flesh it out, as it is a quite outdated game

Neurotransmitter people think makes you happy but it's way more complex than that

I never used tiktok in my life and knew all of this. It just became normal internet slang (I'm 22 btw)
