What do you mean by 'there's no open source scene'?

I don't understand what open source has to do with this.

Fuck Microsoft

Duh?

For at least the last 30 years, the world has been designed around Just in Time manufacturing, which keeps as little raw material in stock as possible.

Trump's fines are from his Civil cases. SBF had Criminal charges.

I feel a law that would go a long way would be to force companies to release code, drivers, and designs of any product they no longer support. That includes Intellectual Property. If you no longer support a product, then you don't need the IP used on it.

We either get everything we need to use EOL products however we want, or companies support products much longer to protect their IP.

"Guilty" in the title made it seem like there was some kind of legal repercussion.

Instead it was just a story about an everyday occurrence of IT dealing with idiots.

How is this worthy of an article? I feel like I wasted my life reading this.

I know this is posted here for the privacy aspect and that everything you post online is there forever and his past being revealed and all that.

BUT I'd like to just point out this is more about him not being comfortable and accepting of himself.

He didn't kill himself for who he really is, he killed himself for others finding out who he really is.

This should be only a story about people trying to bring his past up to make him look bad (in their eyes). Not about suicide.

I feel like we've had several posts like this lately.

My wants:

  • ROM-friendly w/ active development
  • flagship specs
  • No hole-punch

Seems I can get two of three, but not all three with the latest phones.

EDIT: I currently rock a Oneplus 7 Pro running crDroid 9 (Android 13).

I was going to use the built-in OpenVPN in TrueNAS until I found out it's going to be deprecated.

I only really need it for the qbitorrent/transmission and prowlarr/jackett (haven't decided yet) apps in TrueNAS, so I don't know what the next best option is.

I have found plenty of documentation on how to use the integrated OpenVPN feature of TrueNAS, but since the announcement of it's deprecation and future elimination is only ~2 months old, I haven't found any new documentation yet on alternate methods.

I see stuff about tailscale but that doesn't seem to be what I'm trying to do.

Thanks.

Shelly is proud of their devices being:

  • No hub neeeded
  • Not required to be online
  • Compatible all major hubs if you do want to connect them.

I do not work for Shelly. I just really like how I don't have to use an app for them and they're compatible with seemingly everything. I've bought the devices and I can do what I want with them.

I had owned two of their smart plugs for a couple of years and they decided to stop responding to resetting and could talk to them. Shelly support sent out two new plugs for me and asked for the defective ones back so they could troubleshoot them. Great service.

Just seems that privacy-centric people should be using privacy focused devices.

They are headquartered in Germany so very unlikely they'll go back on their offline compatibility anytime soon.

We really can't rely on things like net neutrality to flip flop every new administration (assuming the high likelihood of each new administration appointing their own commissioner).

We would need legislation to solidify net neutrality.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm not going to sit here and pretend that reddit doesn't have some great features, this being one of my favorites.

The ones I use the most:

  • A for upvote
  • Z for downvote
  • J to highlight next post
  • K to highlight previous post.

Makes browsing very fast. Typically I click through all the links to different tabs and when I return to the homepage tab I use these shortcuts to fly through all of them and vote so I can refresh the page and they all disappear while still having contributed.

I provided Solidworks files if anyone wants to modify.

This is a 7.5 degree tent. I also provide .STLs for 10 & 15 degrees.
