There are several different groups supporting him for different reasons. The biggest, I'd argue, is the slightly right very populist. They're not into fascism per se, they just want a wrecking ball like Trump to go in and break apart the elite institutions they blame for all the problems and see no other way of influencing. There certainly are supporters who are encroaching on fascism territory. Then there's long time Republicans who have flipped on a bunch of issues to try to get support from these people Trump activated.

At least he did Operation Warpspeed. Funny that some of his supporters turned on him for that.

In fairness, it's not Trump's plan, either, it's Heritage's. They're doing it for Trump, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Trump has never even heard of it. Lol

The route to getting something posted on Facebook or other social media involves 1 gatekeeper who barely involves itself. The route to getting a book or news article published involves more, and they micromanage the content much much more. Just compare what percentage of people have posted something on Facebook vs have had an article published by a newspaper or magazine.

I mean, it sort of did, it's just not quite that simple. A lot of amazing things have come about because of social media. So many artists able to reach people directly without needing gatekeepers like publishers. Movements able to be organized where previously those people would have never interacted.

Shh, people don't wanna hear that. Lol

The government doesn't do the reimbursing, they just specify how much each mile is worth. I assume companies follow the government's guidelines on that for tax reasons.

I don't deliver pizzas, but anytime I drive my own car for work I get reimbursed a standard rate set by the US federal government, updated each year. If a pizza place did that, then the delivery fee would cover that cost.

Don't be silly. There were lots of waves of migrants before European settlers of America. They'd be more than the 2nd wave. 😉

Winter Soldier is the peak for me, with Civil War just barely below it.
