1337x is my favorite. Look for efficient encodes like HEVC or AV1 for a better quality/size ratio (and ideally AAC or opus for audio). It's usually in the torrent name as well as the resolution, source, etc.

I so wish we could get actual wheat grains at the supermarket, possibly bio. Instead whole cereals are mostly sold as animal feed (so with fewer safety standards). It's bs. Same goes for soy beans! They give 'em out to farmers for a lot less than a 1€/kg as animal feed, but I have to order them online? While every corner shop has tofu, soy milk, etc.. come on 😅

Idk what their source was but I think you should look for cheapest "possible" to do a fair comparison (cause obviously a certain shop can have super expensive wings). Near me lowest for wings will be 3-5€/kg, canned tuna starts from 8/kg when on discount, but also has like 30% of seed or olive oil in it (so actual tuna cost to the consumer is more like 12€/kg minimum) Chicken is definitely cheaper everywhere IME.

BTW I'm talking raw chicken wings..everything pre-cooked costs more

I remember seeing a youtube vid from someone who had analyzed all products from one supermarket (after scraping their website), cheapest protein ended up being flour 😄

After all people can survive on bread, on average if I remember correctly we need just 11-13% of the calories to be protein according to WHO (or less if we are eating with a caloric surplus).. protein needs are vastly exaggerated thanks to health gurus and humans' unhealthy love of meat.

Btw flour and bread are not all the same, especially refined has very little fiber and a little less protein (protein content is used also to determine quality of wheat)

Apparently the issues are mostly with the outgoing download links from libgen.rs and .st (passing through libgen.lol), including the IPFS links which were being problematic in the past few months already.

Instead I just tried something from libgen.gs which is the one for comicbooks, and it's downloading fine from the direct link.

Thankfully most if not all content should be backed up on Annas-archive!

Hi there, it looks like Journeys is considered the 23rd season of Pokemon (wikipedia says so too), I found it on TMDB: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/60572/season/23

I was interested in the "non-traditional" fps of Fury Road so here's the relevant part from wikipedia, they actually used less than 24 for most of the movie.

According to Seale, "something like 50 or 60 percent of the film is not running at 24 frames a second, which is the traditional frame rate. It'll be running below 24 frames because George, if he couldn't understand what was happening in the shot, he slowed it down until you could ... Or if it was too well understood, he'd shorten it or he'd speed it up back towards 24. His manipulation of every shot in that movie is intense."[75] The Washington Post noted that the changing frame rate gives the film an "almost cartoonishly jerky" look.[76]

Hi Zedstrain If compressing, why not opus? AAC is almost as good but you have to make sure you're using a good encoder, and its licensing is not as open.

Anyway I found this table, next to "Music Storage", it shows the suggested bitrate values depending on the number of audio channels, from 96 to 450. Should applicable to movies, and to AAC (maybe adding 10% bitrate?).

For movies I'd use these values personally:

2 channels: kbps 128 (150 AAC)

6 (5.1): 196 (224 AAC)

8 (7.1): 256 (300 AAC)

Other than avoiding those services as much as possible, I use a second phone number for "machine-communication"= whenever I'm not giving my phone# to a person.

I'm in the EU, I found a provider in my country that offered a prepaid sim card (pay-per-use) with no expiry date, but never use the credit on it because it's free to receive sms. I turn it on in my dual sim phone whenever I need it.

Yeah, in this case quantity makes the poison (mycotoxins can be on so many foods, we don't go lab-testing every bite), and all the people saying the mould root system is already soo deep are overly paranoid, those fungi started from the outside you are definitely cutting most of it just by using your eyes and cutting with a tiny safety margin.
