Nothing was ever stopping this since the US election - they've been pretty open about it happening in the next three years in the appropriate weather season.

Two US carrier groups might have attempted to stop it, but the intellectual honesty and consistency of the US president was never a barrier.

https://www.jwz.org/robots.txt is a useful template that results in fail2ban "running full tilt", but apparently the AI companies will slurp that shut up enough to cause more technical problems - that site seems to have some practical advice on handling this sort of thing without giving control to cloudflare

doesn't this just raise the authentication requirements? like in the uk we got added checks for who was could work, and lots of deliveroo drivers shared the login + password of someone they knew who was verified.

Weird that The Guardian has chosen a completely unique new convention for naming this guy in headlines. Everyone else would have their family name in the headline.
