So here’s my perspective, as somebody who took many years of struggle and therapy to come to grips with the idea that I was abused and raped by a romantic partner:

For the person from the position of power, or a third party, you don’t get to decide the reality of the person experiencing the suffering. For the person it’s happening to - whatever their suffering is, it’s valid and real. That doesn’t belittle someone who has experienced worse. Everyone has their personal struggles. We’d all do better to consider other people’s experiences as valid and come at disagreements from a desire to learn and care.

Arguing for the sake of arguing is furiously jacking off your privilege boner for no real progress or useful outcome, other than feeling superior to someone lesser than you.

I have no earthly idea the context of why you’re asking though.

Storage and RAM not being user upgradable is an environmental nightmare for sustainability.

Not having internal slots for storage and relying on USB or NAS is not an appropriate alternative for professionals regardless of what their leadership says is what professionals want.

We’ll never know, but RAM being part of the SoC is probably contributing substantially to their performance capabilities compared to competition. The only real way to know that probably requires being an engineer at Apple. I’d wager $3.50 that they’d get a substantial performance deficit from switching to DIMMs, and that terrifies them since that would further push everyone to x86 workstations.

I’m about 50/50 in person with ancient decks and Cockatrice.

Realistically I’d go all in on Cockatrice if I really wanted to play frequently. MTG is cost prohibitive.

This is the angle that makes me reconsider folding phones. Either fold direction, and you’ve got a smaller screen that’s usable in one hand.

I am a big fan of the idea that by doing this the OC is effectively the ad-distributor in this scenario…

That person is suspicious that the rogue device without adblocking is going to poison the whole network.

I won’t speak to the wisdom of that, but I’m going to imagine that’s what the issue with your suggestion is.

Having screwed around with a handful of different budget GPUs and monitor resolutions- don’t rely on upscaling with new GPUs if you’re starting below 1440p. 1080p is rough with DLSS/FSR Quality.

FSR is wonderful for keeping older tech in service, but Nvidia/AMD relying on upscaling and frame-generation for brand new GPUs to keep games running acceptably at the resolutions we declared were acceptable back in the days of the 1080ti is fucked up.

Honestly the price points across the whole industry for 1080p-class GPUs is perverse. Every GPU is named about 1-1.5 tiers higher than it actually should be.

No notification LED either, locked to /e/ in the US for keeping warranty, no buy.

Fairphone is damn close in spirit though, especially in the EU market.

Skimmed the US site. Unless I’m dumb, there’s no Non-Windows Key options on any products other than a Linux-variant that they currently up charge for.

What a shithole company.

I’m not an ITX guy by any means, but I’m happy they’re branching out into the space. I tend to agree with their viewpoints that different, non-gamer non-red and black Cool™️ designs are critical for the DIY market to branch out into. ITX cases are, for the most part, the only innovative designs in cases that are truly different and advancing products.

That being said I’d only be interested in something like the NZXT H210 if I were to actually build ITX so… maybe I’m an asshole.

I could never get my pihole to remain stable over long periods of time. Multiple reinstalls, two different pis, always issues with the network dropping or requiring both the pi and connected devices to be rebooted. A pain in the neck for a reason I’m not immediately able to figure out.

Why would fingerprint reading get worse if the ambient light is low?
