I think X led the way in robotic hellscape innovation that's now being adopted by Reddit.

I have a few Anker 313 wireless charging stands around the house. They work great with iPhones. Due to the design, they can't charge an AirPods case without an adapter to lift the case to the right spot. That is the purpose of this model. I don't have the old style non-Pro AirPods, but this will probably also work with that wireless charging case. It prints well with 10% infill PLA.

Pellet Stove Cleaning Brush (www.printables.com)

I own a pellet stove that has a heat exchanger with extra long cast iron “fingers” (see photo). This needs to be cleaned regularly. The challenge is, a standard brush attachment's bristles are too short to do this properly. This vacuum attachment solves that problem. It fits a Loveless ash vacuum but should also fit other ash vacuums as the hose size is pretty standard. Print this in PETG for strength.

The resulting print is designed to accept a length of bristles cut from a CNC dust shoe brush with 70 - 100mm bristles (choose whatever you need). One of those is enough to make several brushes. I used a small amount of urethane glue to attach the bristles (mist lightly with water first).

To the supreme court they go... I think we can predict the voting there down to the individual justice.

I agree with the OP on this. Tie them up defending against an attack that will never happen. NATO is a defensive alliance.

I generally hate them in consumer-targeted apps. Theoretically, there's nothing wrong with the model. Devs have to keep the lights on, especially if there is a cloud service behind the app. It's all about what pricing model they set. However, pricing is hard. A lot of companies really screw this up right at the start. I also think a lot of businesses cannot resist the temptation to boil the frog and ask for more and more over time, until their pricing is way out of alignment with value delivery.

Cost of doing business. This is a rounding error somewhere.

This is not good. Thanks for highlighting this. I flagged this for my company’s enterprise risk management committee to consider and act upon.

Recent screenings of the movies "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" have been marred by disruptive behavior from audience members. Incidents include individuals being naked in the theater, drunken outbursts, cellphone use, and exhibitionism. The trend of unruly behavior extends beyond movie theaters, with instances of disruptions at concerts, Broadway shows, and even on airplanes. Experts suggest that a combination of recent collective traumas, cellphone culture, and a desire for constant stimulation may be contributing factors. Movie theater policies and enforcement are being relied upon to address the issue, but some argue that disruptive behavior is becoming normalized in public spaces.

They will find something to moan about, probably several somethings. Most of it will be made up bullshit non-issues or things they do themselves when they are in power. This is the Party of Grievance.

[-] nhgeek@beehaw.org 9 points 1 year ago

Sheer dangerous idiocy. Don't just moan about this. Act! EFF makes it easy at that link and it really does make a difference.

The final product is dried and harvested, with minimized water, land and energy use, Galy says.

That's why. Cotton is notoriously bad in all of those categories. To that I would add the most cotton grown commercially is paired with a lot of pesticides as well.

Washington Post: Americans waste $10 billion each year on name-brand ink. So we tested low-cost options including remanufactured cartridges, ink injection kits — and even making our own.

My advice: get a mono laser printer. Printing is handy but relatively infrequent for a lot of people these days. If that's your use case, mono laser is the way to go. Toner does not dry out or go bad.
