I don't get this take.

"Putting yourself ahead of the team" might be a bad thing. But in this case Primoz and Jonas aren't putting the team's win in jeopardy.

Maybe Jumbo Visma decide that three different winners is fun, maybe they decide that Jonas needs a better palmares, maybe having Kuss win will motivate him in future, maybe they decide to simply see who is strongest on the road, maybe they play rock paper scissors. Ultimately, between the three riders and the team management they'll make a decision. And frankly any are fine. Internal team politics doesn't seem like something to get worked up about.

I'm going to go Ganna for the win.

The race is beautifully poised going into the time-trial. Evenepoel, Roglic, Vingegaard and Ayuso are very close together and should all put in strong time trials. Kuss, Soler Martinez will probably drop a couple of minutes to join them.

We don't really have rules yet as far as I know. I think that keeping spoilers out of thread titles seems sensible, but I think otherwise better to have good comments than worry too much about spoilers.

Good win for Kuss, and lovely to see Lenny Martinez get the Red Jersey. With a 2:30 lead over the big favourites, I could see him keeping it quite late in the race. It certainly sets him up really well for a good overall result.

Evenepoel held it together well after being dropped and is still marginally ahead of Vingegaard and Roglic. I was surprised by how split up the GC contenders were, basically in ones and twos.

INEOS look out of contention for now, Thomas and Arensman both shipping time.

Go for it. I'm aware of https://github.com/baronet2/FirstCyclingAPI, https://github.com/josselingirault/procyclingstats.com-webscraper/, https://github.com/themm1/procyclingstats that might help.

A good first step might be to get a bot that posts scheduled posts, even if all the data that goes into the posts is manually entered (e.g. all stages in one go at the start of the race).

After two days for the sprinter (sic), this should be a day with gaps between the GC contenders, with maybe a breakaway winning.

Alas this is generated the old fashioned way.

Really sad for Oscar Onley DNF.

Hopefully eventually they'll work out the GC standings.

I probably have the skills, but not sure I have the time. I'll see what I can do if no-one gets there first.

I'm a bit wary that too many auto-gen'd threads that don't get engaged with would be bad. Maybe starting with one thread per stage for grand tours and one per race for other World Tour races.

Fantastic result for the Lib Dems! And it wasn't even close. A new majority of 11000. This has got to give so much confidence going into next year that they can pick up lots of seats.

Hopefully the team get this one over the line.

Smoked salmon looks "raw" largely because it is raw. It has never been heated.

Smoking the fish does indeed give a very different flavour to non-smoked fillet. That shouldn't be any great surprise.

Why is it safe? Well good quality raw salmon is also safe (see sushi). But the smoking does have an effect of preserving the fish and making it less of an environment where bacteria would thrive.
