I love how much this episode shows Sensei's character:
Sure, he's fucked up, and he wants to die a really weird way that appeases his aesthetic sense. But he's also extremely observant, deeply knows human nature, and he's also able to unearth what not even a person knows about themself.
And he isn't buying your bullshit, like "either this or that".
I also feel like this episode was a great adaptation of the manga. "Tama" and Annette dragging the coffin, the princess deciding for a double suicide with Sensei and then giving it up, the two potential new kings being a demon and a good-for-nothing...
Haga looking for his friends, Nikola hosting the meta-AI Tesla, this episode was mostly exposition. And it shows that the world is actually keeping track of what the debuggers do, and what they were supposed to.
The animation isn't as good as I feel like this series deserved. Still, I'm having fun with it. The scene where Tesla chomps on the debugging stone was specially fun.
