New train station assets by Rev0 have been announced! Source: Allianz pro Schiene on Instagram
Collaboration with Allianz pro Schiene & Deutsche Bahn AG
I'm very proud to announce one of the most important projects I've ever undertaken for the Cities: Skylines franchise, and a first in the city-builder genre. This has been in the works since 2023 and we've reached a milestone in the art development to be confident in showcasing the ongoing work with the public, especially at this moment in time - 'Tag der Schiene' - the annual Railway Days event taking place in Germany.
Allianz pro Schiene
Allianz pro Schiene is an NGO and the industry body for 24 non-profit organizations and 150 companies from the railway sector, focused on promoting the improvement of the railways in Germany. Together, they represent the interests of the public, the workers and the sector itself, working towards more environmentally friendly, efficient, and modern railways.
Bahnhof des Jahres
Railway Stations are more than just basic stops. They are the entry points of any city, a meeting place, and more; they each have a unique story to tell. Each year, the best railway station of Germany is picked by a jury, based on various factors such as environmental friendliness, accessibility and traveler comfort. Whether big, small or brand new, more than 5000 stations in Germany get to participate this yearly event... in Cities: Skylines
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the competition, and for the first time ever, both DB and Allianz pro Schiene are making an entrance into a city-builder game.
From the list of previous winners, four stations were selected with the fifth being nominated by DB:
- Oberstdorf Station
- Baden-Baden Station
- Lutherstadt Wittenberg Main Station
- Mannheim Main Station
and…
- Berlin Main Station.
All five stations, including props, are currently being recreated by yours truly. We are aiming for the most of the content to be released with the Cities: Skylines II asset editor and they will be available for free on Paradox Mods.
Youtube Showcase
Special thanks to City Planner for taking the footage and testing the stations. He'll be using the stations in future so make sure to follow his Neu Dresden build!

Project Scope - Stations
Oberstdorf Station -
Known for its natural beauty and mountainous landscape, the town of Oberstdorf is served by this station carrying the same name. Oberstdorf was the joint-winner of the 2006 award, shared with Dammtor Station.
Baden-Baden Station -
Located on the Basel-Karlsruhe line, the original station was built in 1844. The current station (rebuilt in 1904) features a 5-track layout and is served by regional and ICE lines. It caters to an average of 6000 passengers and 143 trains per day and was the winner of the 2010 award.
Lutherstadt Wittenberg Main Station -
Also known as the 'Green Station', Lutherstadt Wittenberg is the modern gateway to the historic town of Wittenberg. The station is built with environmental factors in mind; its rooftop features a unique design for rainfall retention and solar power, allowing the station to generate its own electricity. Design wise, it's taking inspiration from Luther's teachings; it doesn't feature any decoration, nothing fancy of any kind. This 'Reform' Station was the winner of the 2017 award.
Mannheim Main Station -
Serving over 600 trains carrying 100,000 passengers daily, Mannheim is one of the largest transit hubs in Western Germany. It is located at the crossroads of major main lines, like Zurich - Berlin, Frankfurt am Main - Paris, and Milan - Amsterdam. Opened in 1887, the station has seen multiple reworks which made my job rather difficult in recreating it. Mannheim station is also a commercial center, offering many amenities over two floors of commercial space, which are fully modeled for Cities: Skylines II. Mannheim was the winner of the Best Railway Station award in 2005.
Berlin -
The icon.
The last station of the pack is the signature of German Railways - Berlin Main Station. Built following the reunification of Germany, the station serves 300'000 people daily. With its breath-taking architecture, Berlin station is also a tourist attraction; it is likely the most photographed station of Germany. Its fully open architecture allows building to be illuminated via natural light, while also removing the barriers between the city and the station. Hosting shops, restaurants and special events it is also one of the cultural hotspots of Berlin. Thanks to its unique transparent structure, you can observe the complete flow of passengers, which will be replicated in Cities: Skylines II as well, thanks to its capabilities.
Supporting Content
I personally expanded its scope following the editor situation, and as a result, you'll be getting extra content at the end of this project. These include most of the station props that under the ownership of DB AG, and of course vehicles.
Theres also a new radio station related to the country theme:
Harvest Harmony
