Counterpoint:

As I get older, I gain more knowledge and wisdom. As I gain more knowledge and wisdom, my perspectives develop. As my perspectives develop, my comprehension of my own limitations grows as well.

Ergo, old me saying that old me is dumb has way more weight than younger me saying that younger me was dumb, because younger me had shit for brains and barely any idea of what it means to be dumb. But older me has a much better idea of* how much of the dumb there is!

In short, if I say I've never been dumber, you'd better fukken believe I haven't!:))

Think you took a wrong turn somewhere, this is the Technology community...

Nope... zero. It's just what I feel is the right thing to do, regardless of results. And, on a more self-serving note, I will at least die with a clear conscience knowing that I did all I could do to follow and respect my principles, to be at least a quasi-decent human being.

Agreed, that was the "advertised" goal, and the overall shape things took once it was set into motion. But looking at things now, in retrospect, I genuinely believe that's just what everyone was told to sell them on the idea, with the actual plan being very different for those who had access backstage, y'know?

I mean, it's much easier to motivate people to uproot their lives (regardless of how abysmal their living conditions were at the time) by promising a Land of Opportunity For Everyone, instead of telling them "yeah, we're a bunch of rich guys who want to get even richer, and we need cheap labour to get things started, then work for us, so that we may accumulate all of the wealth."

Yaaay!🥳 My brain's getting better at brain things!

To be perfectly frank, I can relate... Not gonna give up trying, just that I've never had much use for optimism given how things have been going overall.

"I'm so sorry I'm repeatedly punching you in the teeth, I have no idea how to stop! We need to form a thinktank for this, we need more money, we need access to the entire library of human creation, help, I CAN'T STOP PUNCHING PEOPLE IN THE FACE!"

That guy was ridiculously correct about a frightening amount of things...

Again, no such issue, I'd actually have a bit more respect for LLMs were they this eloquent and pleasant!:)) Glad to have generated a crumb of something good!:D

Oo-er! Well aren't you swanky!

Just a well-meaning joke (with but a smidge of envy:)) ), congrats for this! May the new currency bring you all good luck!❤️

Damned fine quote and personal reinterpretation, no apologies needed!:))

Oh, I'm not putting this on any individual citizen, I'm genuinely sorry if it came out that way!

Sharing is virtuous, and everyone should most certainly try to share more (within their means, of course!), but the game was rigged long before those who are alive now ever existed. Unfortunately, as long as the system itself doesn't change, individual action can only achieve so much in terms of offering fair conditions and opportunities for everyone...

Digital sources for these people are slim to none, so here's the full album instead of the one track I wanted to post! S'good!

Edit: for no reason whatsoever I'll say that track was Pekin Pekin.

Bonus: the way I first experienced it over a decade ago.

Warning, the content of the video itself is harrowing, but the ensemble was, to me, shockingly beautiful. Remains one of my favourite songs to date.

Still their best album.

Again, no official source. It was at that moment that he finally stopped giving a crap about official sources.

I've finally started playing ESO and while questing around Vvardenfell, one of the Ashlanders, Yanabi-Asa, referred to Almalexia as the Mad Wife.

I tried looking it up online, but I've only found the same passing metion on the Wikis and nothing else, and I feel I'm lacking some major context having not played Morrowind as in-depth as I did Oblivion or Skyrim (played it last, my attention span had degraded to the point where I didn't have the patience to read all of the in-game lore books I managed to find...)

Is there any specific bit of lore which justifies the moniker? I know Vicec is a bit of a douche and Sotha Sil is fixated, but other than being a helicopter mom and a coward in terms of respecting her principles, I've never thought of Almalexia as mad or particularly off her rocker in any significant way.

Edit: or do they mean mad as in angry? This would also require some clarification, as I've not found her particularly wrathful, either.

Edit 2: did more reading around this and, yeah, still couldn't find anything from around 2E or earlier which would explain it. It seems to be related more to her actions in 3E, but that wouldn't explain the moniker being used in 2E.

Unless hand-wavey Daedra stuff having to do with Azura/Mephala/Boethiah chronicling future events?
