This is so cool. Thank you for the link

I known, but its still up to the provider. And to prove its unnecessary will takes so much efforts. There's too much lack in this law from my point of view. Instead, to prove our age for example, we could get TOKENS with age verification that are completely anonymous.

Its not fully open source actually. Just the App, not the infrastructure or what and who's behind .

Yeah unfortunately in some ways we're financing that if we don't take actions. Fortunately for streaming the switch is super easy and the transfer of songs and artists automated

Maybe not all the system is corrupted, but when I found that Switzerland just follow the rules defined by the open wallet forum in this case. I've doubts

The thing is plenty of politics are paid by insurances and other big companies. Those people influence most of the voters which makes it unbalanced

End of September, Switzerland will vote for E-ID. A big threat for our privacy as it will widely used for tons of new use cases.

Behind the government pitch of an "open source project, completely optional" hides big tech industry... Which will make it mandatory to access their services.

What are your thoughts on that ?

Hello,

Any free open source app to edit videos on my phone here ?

Thank sou 🙏🏼

Recent news revealed that Spotify’s CEO Daniel Ek has been investing heavily in military tech companies, which adds another ethical layer to a platform already criticized for how little it pays musicians !

Spotify only pays artists about $3–5 per 1,000 streams, using a pro-rata model that directs most money toward major stars... By contrast, Qobuz (≈$18–20 per 1,000 streams) and Tidal (≈$12–13) pay far more fairly!

However Tidal is far from ethical. Most of its revenue is controlled by private investors and founders and small artists still earn very little...

More fair-minded platforms like Bandcamp, Resonate, Ampled, or SoundCloud’s fan-powered royalties prioritize musicians over investors.

With these more ethical alternatives available, why do we keep using Spotify?

As Signal get your phone number. Can we considerate this application as private ? What's your thoughts about it ? I'm also using SimpleX, ElementX, Threema, but not much people using it...

Cheers
