Only buy solar if it is cheaper or cleaner than what you have now.

Cars are going to come from either Mexico or China.

Another suggestion that I forgot to add:

  1. Start negotiations to join the European Union. Whether it actually happens or not, just announce that you are starting negotiations.

Suggestion from across the river. The Detroit River.

  1. Canada should import goods from China without limits or taxes. Canada's cost of living will go down as the Americans learn how stupid tariffs are.
  2. If solar electric power is cheaper than other sources, buy as much cheap solar as the Chinese will send you. Try to reduce your electric costs. Export your hydro power to the US at high rates.
  3. There are cheap electric cars coming from China. Allow them in your market and benefit from low cost environmentally friendly transportation.
  4. If anyone threatens your sovereignty, put a warrant out for their arrest the minute they arrive in Canada, even if they are a government official. Its your sovereignty, gloves off.

  1. Tariff-taxes increase inflation.
  2. Declining supply of cheap foreign goods cause consumer price index increases.
  3. Federal Reserve Board increases federal fund rate to try to decrease inflation.
  4. Stock market bubble collapses.
  5. Real estate market declines as owners try to get out of "investment property".
  6. Banks start foreclosure on many no-pay mortgages.
  7. Without mortgage payments coming in, banks become insolvent.
  8. A few weak banks go bankrupt, leading to a massive run on all banks.

...

  1. Profit.

The value of Grayjay and other similar apps (Freetube, Newpipe) is based on their ability to continue to show Youtube video. If Youtube finds a way to block these apps, they will not be popular.

One of the spending problems I have is I get into hobbies and it becomes an obsessive gear collecting activity. For example, backpacking. You can go backpacking with very basic, cheap equipment, but eventually I seem to end up wanting the most expensive gear. So hobby purchases is something I want to stop. I want to learn to do hobbies without expensive gear.
