I finally left after they made it impossible to access r/all from mobile. The day after I finally left, they made it to where I couldn't even use my browser to look at reddit unless I switch to desktop mode.
The API changes were the start and had I researched any alternatives I would have left back then. Bots are obviously not good and I wish they weren't a thing, but I wasn't really affected by them. Like, at all. If I thought it was a bot I just scrolled.
R/all would have me scrolling for hours. They forced the algorithm bullshit and I went from scrolling for hours to this self-fulfilling algorithm where it only showed me a few subs. And then only showed me those because I only opened those... because they were only showing me those.
They kinda shot themselves in the foot with all this stuff. At least when it comes to people like me.
