The person and the background look too similar between photos for this to be AI. The person behind the scam probably searched the web, and stole this poor person's photos. Judging from the poor quality, I'd date it around ~2008

Yes, some parts of the project were integrated into Gecko. But the project itself was abandoned. The original goal was to replace Gecko, not to patch some parts of it.
