imo we should focus on a statistic on the entire Threadiverse instead of only Lemmy. After all, these software are highly intercompatible, so excluding them doesn't make sense.

I tried Pfred, was amazed by Thunder (since Pfred is forked from it), and now I use Thunder to browse Lemmy.

I usually just write a short paragraph explaining why they shouldn't join those three instance, and reccommend an instance (usually sopuli.xyz, thanks to the criteria you made once).

They couldn't handle Chad PieFed.

In my opinion, I feel like you should make anyone aware if they join the tankie triad. Otherwise, it usually leads to them having a bad impression of Lemmy and leaving it for Reddit.
