Fair point. This was the first thing I looked at when I woke up today before putting my brain in gear, and I was thinking of the example of being in a train carriage at 70mph and jumping up - because the air resistance is acting upon the train, not directly upon the passenger jumping up and down, they don't end up having the back of the train catch up to them at 70mph...

My son was premature and racked up 14 days in the NICU. The hospital (which is 'legally a charity' billed $250,000.00. We were low-income with no employer-provided medical insurance, so the state Medicare provider got to pay a reduced rate of that.

Libretube. Get v0.19 or higher, youtube just screwed around with its code and broke v0.18. I love how it works with sponsor block to even skip those "this video is brought to you by xyz incorporated, be sure to Yada Yada Yada..." segments.

When we used reddit, and you found a link on Google or in an email that went to reddit.com, it would open up that link in Boost. Same for the email notifications when you got an inbox message or a comment reply - following the link opened up your inbox in Boost, not your web browser.

Since there are an almost infinite number of instances to match the URL for, is this behaviour just not possible with Lemmy, by the nature of the fediverse?

I think I remember Android having a manual option to set default apps for certain links, so I'm going to try and set Boost the default app for links starting with my home instance. Not sure if Boost will necessarily understand the links though and how to process it..

Matter of opinion. You're literally in a community for the app you say is inferior. Why?

We're all anxious to get back on Boost and launch the rocket ๐Ÿš€ so I hope you take it as support and not pressure. Having a blast with Voyager for now, but Boost was always where it was at for me. Can't wait to give it a shot when you're ready to release it!

Do you know what kind of pricing model you'll use? Will Boost for Lemmy be a separate purchase for removing ads, or do you intend to have a restore purchases button?

Surely you mean

Because ICANN

Pavement princesses, brodozers with mall-wheel-drive, only used to transport Big Macs. Never done a days work in its life. And none of their drivers know (or care) how to park such a monstrosity in a standard parking space without taking up 2 or more spots. The embodiment of modern entitlement. They are the main character.

What if reddit joins the fediverse? What are the implications for that if it were even feasible? We would end up with subreddits as communities on Lemmy such as !askreddit@reddit.com, perhaps.

What are the community's thoughts on this, given the new app by Meta that has attempted to join our free society? Do we just defed, and hope that all the popular instances all do the same?
