Was this real? I remember reading this comic strip, I think it was called “Zits”, in the daily newspaper when I was a kid. How could they get this in there?
Would that even work? Like have your actual social that you use for government services and a second made up ssn that you use for private companies? I think they cross reference and you’d get denied for a bunch of things.
Or have family shit, or are just too tired, or are sick, traveling, in fear of repercussions, have to get the car serviced, take the pet to the vet, are dealing with the fallout of tornadoes/fires/flooding, etc., etc., etc..
There’s a million reasons why people can’t attend an event they support. I’d say 10-20x the turnout would be the real number of supportive numbers.
