This group of short fictional stories describes how the Mafia, Catholic Church, Mormons, Amish, and Messianic ended up creating a new world order based on a plan created by the Rebbe of the Chabad Lubavitch movement. For those not familiar with the Chabad movement or unfamiliar with their membership, you might find these bearded Jewish men to be strange, walking around major cities wearing black hats, suits, and white braided fringe cords spilling over the sides of their trousers. In the movies, you most likely see the men dancing together at weddings, as they are not allowed to dance with women.

“Restoring the Restoration”

Well-meaning (and perhaps some not so well-meaning) men have been trying to reform the church since the Apostles left this life. I know that many women were involved, but men’s cultural bias against women has left a void for many years, in all church movements, through the mistreatment of women in the church. There have been sects within the Catholic church that tried to restore the early church and eschewed the growing dominance of added Papal doctrines. The most aggressive attempts at reform of the Catholic church and restoration of the early church began almost the second Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the church door. Sadly, the numerous divisions between the Catholics and Protestants are not easy to keep up.

I read "The Last Concert" in a cozy café. It's a book about a violin player, and the story took me to a concert where they played for the last time. The book is beautifully written and tells the story of a musician who loved the violin.

A Cosmic Odyssey - The NU Trilogy Begins

In the infinite expanse of the universe, on the precipice of the Milky Way, humanity embarked on a journey of boundless ambition. The dawn of interstellar colonization was heralded by the construction of the Voyager III, within the newly established HG Rickover Shipyard, nestled in the asteroid belt.

As the colossal construction of the Voyager III took its fledgling steps into the abyss, there was an unfolding cosmic drama, unbeknownst to the inhabitants of Earth. In the celestial realms of Orion, a group of visitors emerged, crossing the galactic threshold from the Andromeda Galaxy into the Milky Way, their origins steeped in an ancient, unfathomable conflict spanning billions of years.

At the heart of this unfolding saga was Sted Richardson, an individual who had ardently aspired to lead the very first interstellar mission. He had endeavored to etch his name into the annals of history as the one who would lead humanity to the stars. However, the fates took a cruel turn when an unforeseen mishap, a freak accident on Tranquility Base located on Earth's moon, Luna, shattered his dreams. The accident left him bereft of both legs, amputated above the knees, shattering his eligibility to captain that pioneering mission.

In the shadow of despair, a glimmer of hope emerged - advanced prosthetic legs, a technological marvel of the future, offered a chance for redemption. It was with these mechanical limbs that Sted Richardson would embark on an unexpected journey, one that would catapult him into a new and uncharted destiny.

As the captain of a state-of-the-art mining assay ship, Sted found himself thrust into the forefront of a cosmic battle, a battle for the very survival of humanity itself. The stage was set, the characters aligned, and the destiny of Earth intertwined with forces that transcended space and time.

"Nu Book 1: A Cosmic Odyssey - The NU Trilogy Begins" is a mesmerizing entry into a riveting narrative that explores the audacious spirit of human exploration and the unforeseen encounters with powers and races that have traversed galaxies, setting the stage for an epic trilogy that will unravel the mysteries of the universe itself.

THE U.S.S. ENVIRONMENT: Remnant of Humanity's Hope

In the year 2061, President Andrea Larsen, freshly inaugurated, is confronted with a chilling revelation - a recently discovered asteroid hurtling toward Earth, destined to strike in December 2068, bringing the looming threat of mass extinction. Amidst this apocalyptic shadow, President Larsen's maternal instincts kick in, igniting a daring quest to ensure the survival of her very young adopted son, Hayden. Her resolve triggers a complex political endeavor, one that sets the wheels in motion for the grandest of undertakings: the construction of a spaceship, the U.S.S. Environment, designed to carry Hayden and a select crew of diverse, promising young individuals on a journey to a distant, habitable exoplanet, a staggering 4.2 trillion light-years away.

But with the fate of humanity hanging in the balance, questions loom large. Who will earn their place on this vessel of salvation? How will the selection process unfold, and can a ship of such monumental scale and complexity be constructed in the midst of the turbulence and upheaval that defines the tumultuous era of the 2060s?

A brutal truth underscores this grand endeavor - Earth stands as the solitary haven in our solar system, blessed with the life-sustaining essentials of water and oxygen. It is this scarcity that compels President Larsen to cast her sights on the Alpha Centauri system, a destination that lies 50 years away by even the most advanced propulsion system of the 2060s. But the challenges extend beyond distance; they encompass the essentials for survival.

The crew must contend with the riddles of longevity: 50 years of oxygen, food, water, and electricity. This narrative unravels the ingenious solutions to these perplexing questions. It illuminates the means by which an audacious endeavor such as settling an exoplanet becomes more than just a dream; it is transformed into a tangible, awe-inspiring reality.

"THE U.S.S. ENVIRONMENT: Remnant" isn't just a speculative tale of survival; it's an exploration of human ingenuity, resilience, and the unwavering spirit of hope that burns brightly, even in the darkest corners of the cosmos. As we delve into this narrative, we bear witness to the audacious efforts to secure a future for humanity amidst the stars, revealing a testament to human potential and the pursuit of a dream so colossal it stretches across the fabric of time and space.
