I mostly pay for the unlimited email alias, the password manager is free by itself.

I was using Bitwarden before, but the unlimited email alias sold me on Proton Pass, and 1$ monthly is nothing for not getting spam anymore.

Thanks friend!

I use Proton Pass and Ente Authentication (2FA).

I can't access my Proton Mail without my 2FA, additionally I can't even access my 2FA without my email address (verification code is sent to my mail to unlock my 2FA codes + I need the master password). If i lose one of them I am screwed you would say, but it's not the case.

What I did is to write down my Proton Mail Password and its secret code for 2FA + My Ente Authentication credentials (mail + master password). This way I will always be able to access my Proton Mail, even if i lose access to my 2FA app.

This is the worst case scenario, i also have a second phone where i keep Proton Pass and 2FA logged in, so if I lose my main phone, I am not completely locked out.

I am not sure about that particular leak and the kind of data that was leaked, but I am pretty confident about their zerolog policy as today. NordVPN has undertaken not one, but three independent audits, which is more than other known VPNs.

Many websites confirm their clams, like those ones:

https://www.vpnmentor.com/blog/nordvpn-no-logs-policy/ https://www.tomsguide.com/features/nordvpn-logs-is-nordvpn-secure-does-it-keep-logs-and-can-you-trust-it https://www.tomsguide.com/news/independent-audit-confirms-nordvpns-no-log-policy-for-the-second-time

But in the end it is up to you if trust it or not. For me it is pretty good.

I don't know man, Valve seems more pro users than Apple to be honest.

EDIT: I just want to add some context; Valve made Steam Deck fully reaperable, where Apple always adds restrictions on what you can repair in an iPhone or Mac. When I buy a device I always look for its reaparibility.

At the launch of Steam Deck, Valve was very responsive and they replaced many units (even if sometimes it was user's fault) for free, where Apple would find any way to charge you for the repair (and you know better than me how much expensive is to repair an iPhone or Mac).

But why? Why would you buy a Mac twice the price for gaming when you can buy other cheaper gaming brands?

You said it right, Apple doesn't care about gaming, and so are their customers.

Apple would not move a finger without return.

Yes, mate. Same for me. DDG has been around for longer.

[-] Sterben@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

Just curiosity to be honest. But I see that there aren't many diversities between the DDG and Brave, so I may as well get back to DDG.

Do you actually mean "Paid Apps"? Because if that is the case, then Lucky Patcher can do nothing.

In your case you need to look for a cracked APK. There are various websites that offer this kind of service. A quick search on Google can give you the answer for that (ex: "free APKs", or "cracked APKs")

I hope you will find what you are looking for.
