I had the same problem and was able to get around the lockout by simply clicking the “forgot password” link on the login page and resetting my password via the email link. After that, I immediately went into my account settings and removed 2FA. I honestly can’t believe it worked.

Help. Accidentally enabled 2FA and now I was signed out and I can't sign in again in c/lemmy_support@lemmy.ml
