Money can be exchanged for needs.

It works fine to distribute resources.

Well idk what to tell you.

Being shitty is subjective and if a mod doesn't like someone using a space for what it's for then it breeds this environment.

Dismissing and invalidating people with genuine concerns is also not how we get more people to contribute.

We can just waterboard them

Basically, Russian troll farms helped her campaign and she was particularly responsible for splitting the vote of the 2016 dem primary so Bernie couldn't win.

She's also had some questionable appearances with Putin.

There's no downside for consumers, sucks if you are making art for an oversaturated market.

But that's why artists should get a UBI

Blahaj admins don't want to do work tho

They would rather ban users who whine about trolls and bots

[–] SoftestSapphic@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

Not possible

We can do what other spaces don't, and choose to not design our space around bots in ways that hinder the user experience.

I was on blahaj.zone until they decided they didn't like it when you call out admin abuse

Contribtions to the fediverse are unwelcome in most popular spaces.

Unless you are just upvoting things.

If you are new you will be heavily scrutinized, and if the community owners don't love you instantly then your account goes in the "bot pile"

Makes it hard to want to participate when most relevant posts you make get removed and the mods ban you because they decide they don't like being embarrased when they're shitty.

Beauty is subjective :p

But yeah big mood.

Best to donate to another project besides lemmy.

The main dev for lemmy is kind of a shitty person who is not shy about their shitty beleifs.

He supports authoritarians and dictatorships and bans anyone who doesn't excuses the human rights abuses of dictatorships.

  • abusive admins/mods
  • mods being cults of personality
  • vibe bans with incorrect rule used with no appeal process
  • automod
  • auto bans for participation in other spaces

I came here in November of last year looking for an alternative to reddit, and in that time, this space has transformed to look more like reddit than I ever expected it to become.

I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't just reddit all over again with a smaller userbase.
