How do you enable compact mode now? Happy to see that the default sorting bug was fixed!

Got the email a few mins ago and it’s already sold out. I doubt the interest was that much, did anyone here snag one?

Myself and the guys I was referring to with crazy hardline loops are on first name basis with Linus, we all played left 4 dead together way back when before he even had a YouTube channel (ClosetGamer, anyone?) so his influence with these type of enthusiasts is still pretty strong, at least here in Canada. However he definitely lost a lot of respect with this response of his but honestly I didn’t expect anything different from him

The average consumer wouldn’t buy a block to begin with. I know quite a few guys that have spent thousands on their hardline setups, adding another $1000 CAD is a drop in the bucket to them. There is a market for it, just not a large one

The compact comments toggle does not condense the comments, the comments need to be much more condensed to be considered compact

Puked on my crushes foot at a party a few weeks back. Thankfully she’s cool and we still hang out lol

On the current TestFlight build Memmy defaults to All every time the app is refreshed when Subscribed is selected in the settings

They didn’t seize it. .ml TLD was contracted for 10 years to some Dutch dude. That contract expired on the 17th

My elderly mother has been using Linux for almost 10 years. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a single tech support phone call from her for it

We have these in Vancouver, a lot of them. And a few battery buses as well

Yes, it’s an Easter egg. Zuck did a bbq livestream like 12 years ago featuring sweet baby rays and it became a meme

I’m of the opinion that any account or instance that is dedicated to reposting Reddit content is spam.

So I’m in the process of moving my discord server over to matrix. I rented a VPS with 2 cores/2gb of ram for this. What I’m having issues with is media store and federation. I believe I have the media_store configured corrected as I can post images in my own channels, however I get Error 500 while attempting to upload a profile picture with no other information. On the federation side of things, I joined #matrix:matrix.org on my server it syncs for a few seconds, my ram shoots up to 2gb usage and hard locks until I restart synapse. Am I missing a config flag? Or just not enough RAM to federate with an instance that big. Thanks

Yes. I do this with switch games, in 10-15 years time those games will still be worth what I paid, if not more. I have some collectors editions and limited runs that are already worth 3-4x what I paid for them

My lemmy apps can no longer connect to the API (Memmy, mlem, thunder, wefwef etc) unless I manually navigate to a community, however won’t accept requests to make posts or comments. Anyone else having this issue?

Edit: reinstalling apps to force a re-auth fixes it

As far as I’m aware lemmy does not support load balancing or high availability as it currently strands. But development is still in its infancy and I’m sure that’s a top priority
