There is something to be said about institutions though. When more people are part of what seems to be an upstanding institution, the more they are inclined to protect the secret in order to protect the institution and its reputation. There are a lot of examples of this. For instance the catholic church, penn state, the trump oligarchy, nasa....

What i find intersting and encouraging is that saying what you just said 20 years ago people would completely dismiss any line of thinking like this. Now, if i said something similar to someone in an elevator they would engage and want to discuss it. Change might actually be possible if minds were more open to the headroom possible.

And they have to be completely completely broke. They take everything. So either you lose everything or just give all your money to eldercare. Its quite heartbreaking, my wife is in long term care. Its quite standard protocol to dump people in homeless shelters if they cant pay. Even if something is going to kick in soon and they'll be able to pay soon enough, a one month lapse and youre out. I could write all kinds of stuff about this.

What we need to do is basically have a movement to tell any politician that if they approve any military budget above 1b, we will not elect them next election. We need a movement of actually voting for sane people with sane policy. Everyone is all "crazy grandpa has a gun and hes trying to destroy everything". Well, crazy grandpa just asked for 1.5 trillion dollars to buy more shit to mess more shit up. Don't give him any money. If a crazy person walked up to you and said, "give me 1.5 trillion to mess everything up" no one would give them that money. Lets instead maybe invest in education? Healthcare? Social saftey nets?

This is absolutely right. Money to them isnt a tool for comfort and happiness, its simply a byproduct of power and exploitation of that power. These people dont want to be able to go into a bar and buy anything they want, they want to go into the bar and buy the whole thing and the street its on. Youre the consumer just wanting enough grass to munch on, they are the predator plotting behind you.

Its worse than that. The whole car usually runs through that computer, so when it goes out the whole car goes out and is expensive to replace.
