I’m guessing this is my issue too. I did some searching and the 9000 cards should work fine in Pop OS. So this is indeed strange.
I can’t remember what the commands where actually. Sudo apt something 😂

Running steam through the terminal gave me a bunch of Vulkan related errors.
I’ll do some more testing
«Let me DuckDuckGo til real quick»
Hell, this one:
«Let me BING this real quick»
I said «Lemme Qwant this real quick» a couple times as a joke and now people make fun of me.
That was a bad decision on my part
Good info! Thanks!
On Mint it was directly from Steam and on Pop it was trough the Pop store thingy.
How do I check for drivers updates manually? Like I did when forcing updates to get them installed in the first place or something different?
Also, WoA is Hitman 3 so they’re the same game. WoA is just the new name for it. I read everywhere that it works great so that’s the first game I tired.
Luckily I refuse to give up just yet. I obviously have no idea what I’m doing so I at least want to give it a proper go.
I’ll try Fedora KDE instead probably. I’m not locked into a Distro as long as it looks nice. I can learn a new UI 😁
I could not have said it better myself!
This and the subreddits I frequent are dangerously filled with people whom I agree with and that agree with me. Back in the "good" days when Forums were all the rage I was exposed to a lot more variety and got to talk to people who were worth having a discussion with. Too bad I was a young idiot and the forum I spent the most time on was paintball forum. (TechPB if anyone's curious)
EFT and Hunt are two very different games.
Luckily I rarely play EFT anymore since I don’t have time to grind PvP. PvE is kinda stale anyways. I thought they tried to get their anti cheat to work in Linux a while back. But BSG is BSG I guess 😂
(Just a typo, fixed it now ☺️)
That’s a great resource, thanks!
This and Steam starting with Vulkan errors might have figures it out. My OS is running Mesa 24.0.3, which looks to predate my graphics card.
I’ll try a manual update and see how that goes
