My version of this is 4X games. I always was intrigued by them as a kid, but I wasn't nearly patient enough or willing to put in the time to understand them. As an adult I've finally been able to enjoy them.

There's a sort of... Sheen, to a lot AI images. Obviously you can prompt this away if you know what you're doing, but its developing a bit of a look to my eye when people don't do that.

It's a symbol of wealth. They want you to know the brand because it tells others they have the means to afford it.

I totally agree with you, though. It's tacky.
