My personal favorite is the theory that it's coming ahead of the planned EMP on October 11. 🙄

A decade old gaming PC (that was mid-tier at best back then), a PS5 that's not technically mine, a Switch, and an OG Xbox One. Tell me about it. 😂

I think they meant the Kickass Torrents (KAT) link. It was taken down in 2016, but it looks like it's back by the original people that were running it.

There was a user that posted a tool they had already been working on, that worked in Python, to go through and automate detection/deletion of potential CSAM on Lemmy servers that admins could implement until better tools come along. Unfortunately, I don't remember who posted it or where I saw it in my travels yesterday.

The world is burning, I got worms in my brains

I guess Ashnikko wasn't being metaphorical with that line in Worms.

In the settings for Connect, toward the bottom, see if "Volume buttons for comment navigation" is ticked on. Try turning it off, if so.

Some instances have a 100kb limit, which is understandable, but very inconvenient if you don't have a way to shrink the filesize down. This is my best estimation as to why you get errors when trying to upload directly to posts, as it's happened to me bouncing between various instances. There's usually a statement in the "About this site"/sidebar area on your instance's main page.

Image uploads are limited to 100kb

So you'll have to use some alternatives; I've seen catbox.moe used a lot on Lemmy.

The line you quoted as "editorializing" ("how the children obtained guns") is literally a line pulled directly from the article subheader. In other words, there's no editorialization from OP. Like, you do realize that... right? By your replies, I can't tell if you're just trolling hard or that oblivious.

Thank you so much for finding it! This is it. It really sucks that it has to come to that.

I'm really looking forward to Sea of Stars. I'm not even big on turn-based RPGs, save for a few exceptions, but it's really speaking to me. Not sure if it scratches a nostalgia itch or if it's the gorgeous art, but I'm into it.

I wish the myth of Linux being a scary place would go away. I run Tumbleweed as a daily driver, and I only go into the terminal when I want to, but I definitely don't have to for anything I can think of off the top of my head - even if it might be easier. I think most distros do a good job of creating a user-friendly experience these days.
