AHH I see, I thought of the firelord as the main villain. But I agree with you.

Alright, I'm intrigued. Could you explain why?

Hi al, I just did a fresh install of linux mint and I don't have any audio on my internal subwoofers. Dell XPS 9500. I made a post about it on the linux mint forums, which contains more info and "progress" but no luck so far.

I have already found and set my subwoofers to the internal speakers LFE via HDAJackRetask now I need to have them actually get a signal. I hope one of you amazing peeps is able to help me.

Edit:

Okay it has been a productive evening. So from reading this thread on bugzilla.kernel.org it seems that the subwoofers are working and actually are playing audio. The speaker fix seem to have been added somewhere before kernel 5.15 (This is for the 9500, which sets the same quirk as is set for the 9510.) What it currently looks like what the problem is that there is a high pass filter for the tweeters which also get applied to the subwoofers. Which means that the subwoofers are effectively producing no output even tough they are getting an input. I currently have no clue how to mitigate this. The bugzilla.kernel.org thread is really worth reading!

Yes it's all about mental age and mindset.

I've heard multiple people say this as the reason for not using Firefox, but I can't remember if I ever had sites not working on FF. Does it happen often for you?

If you are in the EU I think you are legally allowed to request they delete all your data. Might be worth it.

For the people who have this issue, I cannot recommend sleep as android (android only) highly enough, especially if you have a smart watch with heart rate monitoring.

I set an alarm for 07:00 and it wakes me up between 06:30-07:00. But it does so in the best phase of your sleep, so you feel wel rested.

Also I have it set to vibrate my watch, instead of making noise. And I love it.

This is the only way;

if (condition) {
    code
}

Not

if (condition)
{
    code
}

Also because of my dyslexia I prefer variable & function names like this; 'File_Acces' I find it easier to read than 'fileAcces'

Man I like Linux, but I find it to much of a hassle for me. Whenever something is broken it can be such a pain to fix.

I still haven't found a fix for my sound. My laptop (Dell XPS 15 9500) has normal speakers and separate subwoofers, but the driver doesn't know it so it only uses the normal speakers. So my audio is so shit compared to windows, no bass at all. The fix I found for the 9510 doesn't work for mine. It sucks, because that is a deal breaker for me.
